The Weekly Minute - May 26, 2023
Hello, and Happy Memorial Day Weekend. While Monday honors America's military men and women who lost their lives in service to their country, this weekend always unofficially kicks off the Summer.
I spent last week in North Carolina at Pinehurst. And Tobacco Road for a golf trip with some buddies. Incredible setting and fun times.
My official rankings: of the courses I played:
Pinehurst No. 2
Tobacco Road
Pinehurst No. 4
Pinehurst No. 8
Onto this week:

Design thinking, also known as Human-Centered Design, is a process and mindset for solving complex problems by understanding the needs of those affected. It emphasizes empathy and involves immersing oneself in the community experiencing the problem, consulting experts, and asking questions rather than making assumptions. The process consists of five key phases:
Empathize
Define
Ideate
Prototype
Test and Iterate

One Thought on Rating
I borrowed this idea from Jim Collins in “Built to Last”, but when rating something 1-10, never include a 7. It forces someone to choose between a 6 or 8, a 6 being clearly bad and 8 definitively good.
Use that next time and see yourself standing firm on a decision you make
One Thought on Branding
Building a successful brand takes time and consistency. Stay focused on your long-term goals and don't be afraid to adapt your strategy as needed.
