Heyo!
First, thanks for all the notes and well wishes since I announced last week we had some flooding issues in our house.
After 10 days of drying the house with 50 fans — a process I was not too familiar with — we moved back in the house on Sunday. Now, we figure out a plan for renovations and get the house back to our desired state.
In other news, I’m back on the road for more family travel, which explains my delayed post today.
On to today’s content:
Wendy’s - MOM
So I learned something new today. I’ve long known that the famous Wendy girl has a collar that spells “MOM”. I always beleived that it was a nice touch that wasn’t the most obvious.
But while in a conversation with my wife today (yes, we went to Wendy’s on our road trip), I wanted to look up the real story.
Turns out, don’t invest yourself in the logo's secret meaning too much. A spokesperson for Wendy's denied that the Easter egg was intentional like 10 years ago. "We are aware of this and find it interesting that it appears our Wendy cameo has 'mom' on her ruffled collar. We can assure you it was unintentional."
Bummer.
Marketing via Mr. Beast
Here is a 10-minute compilation that includes several different clips of Mr. Beast, one of the most successful YouTube creators of all time. It’s full of gems, including:
“If people don’t click, they don’t watch,” when referring to building a perfect thumbnail
“Assure people with what they’re clicking on… and then blow those expectations out of the water.”
Every dollar he makes, he throws it right back into the content game for the next video. All of this is a recipe and a cycle like that is unstoppable.

The world’s fastest man…
…By five thousandths (0.005) of a second.
Truly remarkable stuff coming out of Paris. Congrats to the USA’s Noah Lyles! (Seen below in Lane 7, who’s torso crosses before anyone else)
The (new) Big Ten map
As the B1G welcomed four new teams (from the Pac-12) to the Conference last week, the league also unveiled its newest rendition of the iconic ‘Maps’ ad spot.
It now covers coast to coast!
We know you’ve been waiting for this one…
