    The Challenge

The Journal of Patient Experience, a respected academic publication, had plateaued in getting meaningful engagement online. Despite having a well-defined brand and style guide, their social content – primarily LinkedIn posts to academic studies – felt stale and uninviting.

It was not resonating on platforms like LinkedIn, where audience attention is short and competition is high.

From Static Text → Engaging Storytelling

    The Approach

As a Board Member and Brand Strategy Advisor, I offered research-backed insights, creative direction, and hands-on consulting to evolve the Journal’s brand presence. I began by analyzing the current content strategy, which leaned heavily on static posts linking to full-text academic articles.

    Visual Summaries

Developed modular formats that summarized study insights clearly and concisely.

    Swipeable Stories

Used the 'swipe' feature on LinkedIn to tell a story across multiple slides.

    Branded Visuals

Brought in high-contrast, branded visuals to elevate aesthetic and improve clarity.

    Readability

Focused on readability and takeaways over technical language.

    My Signature Move

My signature move was applying creative tactics typically reserved for consumer marketing to an academic environment. By breaking convention and making complex content visually engaging and digestible, we brought energy and relevance to a space not often associated with design-forward thinking.
